Dear Parents,

At William L. Radney School we want all children to be able to learn in an atmosphere that is free from classroom disruptions and the threat of emotional or physical harm. We are confident that you share our desire to make Radney a safe haven for your child. We are aware that this will only be achieved with students, parents, teachers, and administrators working together toward this common goal.

We have put into place a procedure for dealing with discipline problems that disrupt the learning of others and pose a threat to the safety of others. This procedure will be administered to all students in a fair and consistent manner. We ask for your cooperation in helping us to deal with any discipline problems as they arise. This procedure is outlined in the section below. Please read and go over this procedure with your child. After reading the procedure please sign and return the bottom portion to your child’s homeroom teacher. Please retain the top portion for future reference. This information is also available on the Radney School webpage. We would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation. RADNEY DISCIPLINE PROCEDURE

All assignments to After School Detention require the parent to come into school and sign the student out of room 231.
Students must be picked up no later than 3:45 from After School Detention.
On the first assignment to the School Time Out Program, students may ride the bus to Stephens. On any additional assignments to the School Time Out Program the student will have to be transported by the parent to Stephens.
All assignments to the School Time Out Program and suspensions will require a parent conference with the Assistant Principal and Counselor before the student will be allowed to return to class.
