The
Alexander City BOE is placing up for bid a turn-key solution for managed
wireless.
System
should be managed from one central location.
Access
points should contain such intelligence as to not greatly reduce available
bandwidth by all traffic having to return to the controller.
The
system must be completely turn-key and include any professional development
need for existing staff to manage system once installed.
The
system must be compatible with Cisco network currently in place.
Three
references should be included from current customers vouching for quality of
work and equipment.
Guaranteed
response time when system is down should be addressed.
There
are a total of 5 campuses and 1 Central Office that should be included:

Benjamin
Russell High School
Alexander
City Middle School
Radney
Elementary School
Stephens
Elementary School
Jim
Pearson Elementary School
Each
campus should be priced individually since funds are not available to complete
all.
Each
campus should be completely covered with wireless signal.
Preference
will be given to instate vendors.
Any
bid should include proof of compliance with the immigration law, which
includes:
An E-Verify
Memorandum of Understanding
A signed Notice of Alabama Immigration Law Compliance Contract Requirements,
which contains contractual provisions
Provide your subcontractors notice of
their compliance obligations and obtain from each a notarized Affidavit of Immigration Law Compliance
The
Alexander City Board of Education reserves the right to refuse any and all
bids.
All bids will be opened on Monday April 2, 2012 at 9:00 AM in the Board of Education Boardroom unless otherwise indicated on BOE website.
